Qualifications

• Current Washington State Veterinary Technician license.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic nursing skills: vital signs, venipuncture, IV catheter, meds.
• Ability to enter medical notes and maintain records; typing 45 wpm.
• Able to lift 40 lbs.
• Desire to grow and provide compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and educate clients during outpatient visits.
• Assist veterinarians and medical team to maximize productivity and maintain patient flow.
• Obtain health history and information from clients; maintain medical charts.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems support.
• Perform anesthesia, dentistry, radiographs; provide nursing care for hospitalized patients.
• Prepare patients, medications, and equipment for exams and procedures.
• Collect and prepare lab samples for in-house and reference labs.
• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive options.
• Mentor and support fellow team members.
