Licensed Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant | Lynchburg, Virginia

At Animal Emergency & Critical Care of Lynchburg, we're Central Virginia's only after-hours emergency hospital, and we're hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician or an experienced Veterinary Assistant ready to be that someone, steady, skilled, and ready for anything the night brings.

About the Practice

Animal Emergency & Critical Care of Lynchburg provides emergency and critical care to Central Virginia's pets when their regular vet is closed, including inpatient critical care, outpatient medicine and surgery, trauma and abdominal surgery, oxygen and ventilator therapy, and blood and plasma transfusions. What We're Looking For

Required

• 3 to 5 years of experience providing patient care in a veterinary setting


• Current Licensed Veterinary Technician credential, or equivalent hands-on experience as a Veterinary Assistant in an emergency or critical care setting


• Comfortable with catheter placement, blood draws, and sample collection

Preferred

• Experience in emergency or critical care medicine


• Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotating schedule

Schedule

• Part-time, rotating shifts


• 6 to 12-hour shifts


• Every weekend as part of the team schedule


• Holidays included in the team rotation

Compensation

Compensation for this role ranges from $16.00 to $30.00/hour, based on experience and role alignment.
