Job summary
Montpelier Veterinary Hospital in Montpelier, VA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and excellent client service on a full- or part-time basis. Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification is required.
- Experience in animal care and client communication preferred.
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
- Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
- Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and updates.
- Perform lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with dispensing medications.
- Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean and stocked.
- Follow hospital safety and regulatory guidelines at all times.
