Job summary

Montville Veterinary Group in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Veterinary Technician for either part-time or full-time employment. The role uses technicians to their fullest potential, supporting doctors with diagnostics, anesthesia, surgery and dental procedures.

The ideal candidate has completed an AVMA-accredited technician program, is detail-oriented, and can prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced hospital.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AVMA-accredited technician program with certification.
• Detail-oriented and a self-starter.
• Must demonstrate ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Working knowledge of routine diagnostic testing and radiology, anesthesia administration and monitoring, dentistry, nursing care, catheter placement, and venipuncture.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic testing and venipuncture.
• Assist with IV catheter placement and nursing care.
• Use digital radiology, assist in anesthesia administration and monitoring, surgery and dentistry with digital x-ray.

We are seeking a part-time or full-time experienced Veterinary Technician who has graduated from an AVMA-accredited technician program. Our technicians use their training to deliver excellent comprehensive medical care including: routine diagnostic testing, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, nursing care and assisting in routine office appointments. Our technicians also assist our team of doctors with digital radiology, anesthesia administration/monitoring, surgery, and dentistry with digital x-ray.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Completion of an AVMA-accredited technician program with certification

Detail-oriented and a self-starter

Must demonstrate ability to prioritize and multi-task

The base hourly range for this position is $22.00-$30.00. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
