Qualifications

• Current Washington State Veterinary Technician license.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Perform basic nursing skills and procedures as part of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and educate clients during outpatient appointments.
• Assist veterinarians and medical team to maximize productivity and maintain patient flow.
• Obtain health history and maintain medical charts.
• Maintain medical records with practice systems.
• Perform anesthesia, dentistry, radiographs, and nursing care for hospitalized patients.
• Maintain sterile treatment areas and equipment.
• Prepare patients, medications and equipment for examinations and procedures.
• Collect and prepare lab samples for in-house and reference labs.
• Communicate with clients about pet health and Thrive Membership options.
