Job summary

Cedar Creek Animal Clinic, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner, is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in caring for dogs and cats across the Puget Sound region. The clinic operates in Port Orchard, Gig Harbor, Bremerton, Belfair, Silverdale and Poulsbo.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 40 lbs. Thrive training and benefits accompany a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to lift 40 lbs unassisted.
• Able to enter medical notes and maintain medical records.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality care and educate clients during appointments.
• Assist in maintaining patient flow and relevant medical records.
• Prepare patients, medications and equipment for examinations and procedures.
• Collect and prepare lab samples for in-house or reference labs.
