Schedule: Full-Time | Sunday – Wednesday | 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Pay Range: $26–$30/hour (starting range; final compensation based on experience and qualifications)

Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital, a thriving multi-species practice with 24-hour access to an in-house lab, is seeking a Laboratory Technician & GP/ER Float Licensed Veterinary Technicianto join our collaborative and dedicated team. This role offers a unique blend of lab work and hands-on patient care in a well-established general practice setting.
What You’ll Do
In the Laboratory:
- Greet clients and internal staff at the lab front desk
- Verify the accuracy of lab order forms, labels, and system entries
- Maintain and organize lab records and documentation
- Set up lab tests, label samples, clean and sterilize lab equipment
- Run in-house diagnostics including CBCs, urinalysis, and fecal floats
- Organize and manage stored samples
- Ensure accuracy in sending and pricing samples for external testing
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician:
- Support veterinarians in delivering high-quality, empathetic care
- Assist with exams, treatments, surgeries, and procedures.
- Communicate with clients about pet care.
- Obtain patient history and update medical records
- Use safe animal restraint and maintain a clean, sterile environment
- Mentor and support fellow team members
What We’re Looking For
- Valid WA State LVT License (required)
- 2+ year of Licensed Veterinary Technician experience (required)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Abilities to read U/A & fecals for both EQ and SA.
- A team-oriented attitude and desire to support your colleagues
- A compassionate approach to pet care and client communication
