Job summary

Kenai Veterinary Hospital in Kenai, Alaska seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join its busy 3-doctor practice. Eligible Alaska candidates within 3 months of hire are encouraged to apply.

The role includes on-call duties with compensation and relocation assistance for qualified candidates. We provide a wide range of services and a collaborative team environment where experienced technicians mentor others in high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician in Alaska or eligible to transfer (within 3 months).
• 3+ years veterinary clinical experience.
• AVMA-accredited Vet Tech program preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Experience with Avimark software preferred.
• Experience with animal handling and restraint.
• Ability to mentor and train associates in high-quality medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a hospital setting.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring and surgical procedures.
• Perform diagnostic imaging and laboratory work including cytology.
• Support doctors and team; maintain accurate medical records.
• Mentor and train other associates in high-quality medicine standards.

Skills

LVT in Alaska or eligible transfer
