Job summary

Kenai Veterinary Hospital is actively seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our busy 3-doctor team in Kenai, AK. Expect a full-time schedule with five 8-hour shifts, on-call rotation, and opportunities for mentorship and career growth.

Qualifications

• LVT in Alaska or eligible to transfer within 3 months of hire.
• 3+ years veterinary clinical experience as a technician or assistant.
• AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of Avimark software preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a hospital setting for patients.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures.
• Place IV and urinary catheters; apply casts, bandages and splints as needed.
• Perform dental procedures including scaling and polishing; dental radiography.

Closed on weekends and major holidays.On-Call Services: Participation in on-call service for region. Pay of $25 per day on average 3 days per month.
