Natchez Trace Veterinary Services, a Nashville integrative practice, seeks a licensed Veterinary Technician to support Dr. Smith and the team in delivering conventional and holistic care. The role emphasizes compassion, attention to detail, and a calm demeanor in a fast-paced clinic.

The position follows a standard weekday schedule with no nights or weekends, offering competitive pay commensurate with experience, CE allowance, PTO, and a health insurance stipend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program.
• Current, active licensure as a Tennessee Veterinary Technician required prior to start.
• Strong understanding of veterinary pharmacology, anesthesia, and laboratory procedures.
• Comfortable and proficient using computers, including practice management software, digital records, and general office applications.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Prior clinical experience preferred.
• Interest in or openness to integrative/holistic veterinary medicine.

Responsabilités

• Perform physical exams and record patient histories.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Place IV catheters and monitor patients under anesthesia.
• Perform diagnostic testing, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and radiographs.
• Assist with surgical procedures and maintain sterile technique.
• Provide dental prophylaxis and assist with dental procedures.
• Support integrative/holistic treatments as needed.
• Educate clients on pet care, medications, and post-treatment instructions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
• Restrain and handle animals safely and calmly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
