Qualifications
- Current veterinary technician license or certification.
- Strong anesthesia, surgical, dental, and laboratory skills.
- Excellent communication and client-education abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to patients
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries
- Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Obtain blood samples and place IV catheters
- Perform laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging
- Complete dental cleanings and obtain dental radiographs
- Administer medications, injections, vaccines, and prescribed treatments
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Educate clients about medications, preventive care, and at‑home treatment plans
- Safely restrain patients using low‑stress handling techniques
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked treatment area
- Support teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative hospital culture
