Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician. We promote an emotionally intelligent work environment and positive culture at our hospital. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our patients. Your work will include hands-on care, outpatient treatments, laboratory tests, and support services such as admitting and discharging patients.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures according to your state's Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians.
  • Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and offer guidance on memberships, medications, and treatments.
  • Maintain medical records with practice systems.
  • Inducing and Monitoring Anesthesia
  • Obtain health history and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
  • Guide, mentor, and support team members.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 2-3 years recent veterinary experience
  • Flexible schedule, able to work holidays
  • Desire to practice empathetic, gold-standard medicine
  • Team-oriented and collaborative

Salary Range: Compensation negotiable starting at $24 - $30/hour, based on credentials and experience.
