Qualifications

• Veterinary technician certification or licensure required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program.
• Ability to perform required AVMA tech skills and radiography as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care for all pets.
• Lead communications with veterinarians and medical team for patient flow.
• Provide professional, efficient service; prep work for procedures and monitor hospitalized or surgical pets.
• Educate clients on preventive care and hospital services.
• Obtain history from clients and maintain accurate medical charts.
• Ensure safety and clean, sterile treatment areas; assist with surgery as applicable.
• Mentor paraprofessionals in the hospital.
