At BluePearl Pet Hospital in vibrant Downtown Manhattan, NY, we're seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency + Critical Care team.

*This position offers up to a $20k sign-on bonus*

Pay: $28.00 - $51.00/hour + competitive shift differentials (see below)

This pay band depends on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation aligned with their experience.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = +$4.50/hr
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = +$8.00/hr
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = +$4.50/hr

As a Veterinary Technician, your responsibilities include:

• Triage emergency cases and follow them from ER treatment to ICU admission.
• Perform anesthesia for minor procedures like bite wound repairs and lacerations.
• Conduct digital radiography, including sedation and restraint techniques.
• Monitor patient vital signs to identify at-risk patients.
• Opportunity to become certified in BLS and ALS RECOVER CPR at no cost.
• Calculate medical math, administer medications appropriately.
• Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.
• Learn to place feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train colleagues.
• Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
