Job summary

Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital in Rye Brook, NY is opening a second location in August 2026 and building a growing team.

We’re seeking Licensed Veterinary Technicians to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients, in a modern facility with state-of-the-art equipment. This full-time role includes a 4-day work week, benefits, PTO, 401(k), and employee pet discounts as we grow from day one.

Qualifications

• New York LVT certification required.
• Experience in animal care and client communication appreciated.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate care instructions and status updates to clients.
• Perform lab work, radiographs, injections and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Keep exam rooms and equipment clean, stocked and ready.

Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital is growing! After 60 years of caring for the pets and families of our community, we're thrilled to be opening our second location in August 2026 — and we're building our growing team right now.

We're seeking Licensed Veterinary Technicians to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. You'll help shape the culture of a brand-new hospital from day one, working in a modern facility outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, alongside teammates who are just as excited as you are to build something special. As a sister hospital to our well-loved flagship Rye Harrison location, you'll have the backing of an established team, proven systems, and a trusted name in the community.

Our ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners.

Salary: $27- $35 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule: This is a full-time position with a 4-day work week, Monday – Friday, and rotating Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.

• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification in New York is required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
