Job summary

Valhalla Animal Hospital in Valhalla, NY is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team. You’ll collaborate with DVMs during exams, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care, using your skills in anesthesia monitoring, radiology, lab work, and client education.

We offer mentorship, strong assistant support, CE and skill development, and a $2,500 sign-on bonus or relocation stipend for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Licensed or license-eligible NY veterinary technician with drive to grow.
• Willing to work some Saturday mornings.

Responsibilities

• Escort DVMs during exams, surgeries, dentistry and urgent care.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

• Partner with DVMs during appointments, treatment plans, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care cases.
• Use your LVT skills in patient assessment, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, laboratory work, pharmacy support, and client education.
• Help pets feel safe through low‑stress handling and compassionate communication.
• Support diagnostics and treatment with accuracy, curiosity, and attention to detail.
• Build trusted relationships with clients from puppy and kitten visits through senior care.
• Mentor assistants and newer vet tech team members as you grow.
• Contribute ideas that improve workflow, patient care, and team experience.

Qualifications

We're Looking For:

• A Licensed VeterinaryTechnician or license eligible techwho loves hands‑on medicine.
  • All levels of experience are encouraged to apply! If you do not hold an active NY LVT license, you must be eligible for taking the VTNE as well as take and pass it within 3 months of hire.
• Someone who values teamwork, communication, and a calm, supportive hospital culture.
• A vet tech who enjoys dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, preventive care, and client connection.
• Availability to work some Saturday morning shifts.
