Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary care and possess the skills necessary to provide high-quality support to our veterinarians and clients. This role is essential in ensuring the health and well-being of our animal patients while delivering exceptional service to pet owners.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
  • Utilize veterinary terminology effectively in communication with team members and clients.
  • Perform X-Ray imaging and laboratory tests as required.
  • Provide care for animals, including administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments.
  • Support dog training initiatives and assist with behavioral assessments.
  • Monitor animal vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the veterinarian.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
  • Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
  • Handle dogs safely and effectively during examinations and treatments.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the clinic.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred; relevant experience will be considered.
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology, dental terminology, and animal husbandry practices.
  • Experience in veterinary critical care is a plus.
  • Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine.
