Liberty Pet Hospital in Powell, Ohio is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at 8730 Moreland St F Ste F, Powell, OH 43065. Salary ranges from $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.

We serve dogs and cats with wellness, urgent care, surgery, dental services, diagnostics, and more. The RVT will work under veterinarians and collaborate with a caring team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed RVT in Ohio or eligible to obtain license within 3 months.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary technician experience.
• Experience with dental procedures (scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs).
• Proficient in anesthesia monitoring and IV catheter placement.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with cytology, radiology, and ultrasound is a plus.

Who You Are

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Ohio, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire
• 2 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
• Dental Experience, scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs
• Skilled in phlebotomy, IV Catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
• Confident with medical math and drug calculations
• Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
• And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
