Liberty Pet Hospital in Powell, OH is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our full-service clinic. You will assist with dentistry, anesthesia, radiology, and general patient care for dogs and cats in a collaborative team environment.

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Ohio or eligible to transfer within 3 months of hire.
• 2+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a technician or assistant.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Passion for working with animals and their owners.
• Experience with animal handling and restraint.
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare.
• Importance of communication and organizational skills.
• Dental experience: scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs.
• Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre/post-operative care.
• Lab skills including cytology setup/interpretation.
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, ultrasound-guided cystocentesis.

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Liberty Pet Hospital in Powell, Ohio!

$20-25/ hour, depending on experience

Who You Are

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Ohio, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire
• 2 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
• Dental Experience, scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs
• Skilled in phlebotomy, IV Catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
• Confident with medical math and drug calculations
• Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
• And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
