Job summary

Mid-Columbia Pet Emergency Service in Pasco, WA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our ER team. This full-time position offers a competitive $28–$32/hour base, with weekend and night shift differentials and a $4,000 hiring bonus.

As part of Ethos Veterinary Health, you’ll access hands-on training through our ER Immersion Program, mentoring from experienced doctors and technicians, and opportunities to develop anesthesia, ultrasound, and critical care skills while growing

Qualifications

• WA LVT license required or in progress.
• Strong math calculation skills for drug doses, CRIs, invoices, and estimates.
• Interest in developing advanced ER nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage and monitor emergency and critically ill patients, escalating changes to the veterinary team.
• Place IV catheters, draw blood, and administer medications and fluids under veterinary direction.
• Induce, monitor, and maintain anesthesia and provide skilled nursing care for surgical and critical cases.
• Perform diagnostics such as radiographs, laboratory samples, and patient assessments within the WA LVT scope of practice.
• Perform accurate calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

In your day-to-day, you will:

What You Bring

• Washington LVT license (or close to obtaining it)
• Foundational technical skills and an interest in developing advanced ER nursing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and confidentiality
• Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
• Eager to learn and grow, team-oriented, and collaborative
