Job summary

Valhalla Animal Hospital Inc in Valhalla, NY is seeking a licensed Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative team. You will support DVMs during exams, surgeries, dentistry, and urgent care with compassionate, low-stress care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician or license eligible must be able to take and pass the VTNE within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to collaborate with DVMs, support staff, and clients in a fast-paced hospital.

Responsibilities

• Partner with DVMs during appointments, treatment plans, dentistry, surgery, and urgent care.
• Use LVT skills for patient assessment, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, lab work, and client education.
• Mentor assistants and newer techs as you grow and contribute ideas to improve workflow.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

• Partner with DVMs during appointments, treatment plans, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care cases.
• Use your LVT skills in patient assessment, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, laboratory work, pharmacy support, and client education.
• Help pets feel safe through low‑stress handling and compassionate communication.
• Support diagnostics and treatment with accuracy, curiosity, and attention to detail.
• Build trusted relationships with clients from puppy and kitten visits through senior care.
• Mentor assistants and newer vet tech team members as you grow.
• Contribute ideas that improve workflow, patient care, and team experience.

Qualifications

We're Looking For:

• A Licensed VeterinaryTechnician or license eligible techwho loves hands‑on medicine.
  • All levels of experience are encouraged to apply! If you do not hold an active NY LVT license, you must be eligible for taking the VTNE as well as take and pass it within 3 months of hire.
