Position: Certified Veterinary Technician

Location: Valley Veterinary Hospital

Pay Range: $23.00-26.00 (based on experience)

Requirements:
  1. Credentialed Veterinary Technician, current license in Connecticut
  2. 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
  3. Knowledge of industry tools and equipment, including Avimark and Idexx (preferred but not required)
  4. Experience with animal handling and restraint
  5. Understanding of client education importance
  6. Positive, team-oriented attitude
  7. Ability to multi-task professionally
  8. Willingness to continue education
  9. Availability for some weekends and evenings on a rotating schedule
  10. Bi-lingual skills are a plus but not required
  11. Desire for long-term employment
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians and support staff in daily tasks
  • Room patients, assist in surgeries, and post-operative care
  • Perform x-ray positioning, blood draws, and bloodwork analysis
