Position Overview

Valley Veterinary Hospital is actively seeking a full-time credentialed veterinary technician. The ideal candidate will be confident working with veterinarians, other technicians, and customer service staff. Responsibilities include rooming patients, assisting in surgeries and recovery, and handling animals properly. Experience with x-ray positioning, blood draws, and running bloodwork using Idexx equipment and other in-house lab tools is preferred. The candidate should understand client education's importance, be a positive team player, and eager to expand their veterinary knowledge.

Requirements

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician license current in Connecticut
• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment; familiarity with Avimark and Idexx preferred but not required
• Experience in animal handling and restraint
• Understanding of client education importance
• Positive, supportive team player
• Ability to multi-task professionally
• Willingness to continue education
• Availability to work some weekends and evenings on a rotating schedule
• Bi-lingual skills preferred but not required
