Job summary

Lakewood Animal Hospital is seeking a licensed veterinary technician to join our team. Full-time or part-time options with 10-hour shifts (7:45-6:00 PM) are available, and no weekend hours are required.

• LVT licensure and certification required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledge of common disease states and alert veterinarians to changes.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely restrain animals with care and compassion.
• Communicate care instructions and updates to clients.
• Perform lab work, radiographs, injections, IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with dispensing medications.
• Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean and stocked.
• Follow hospital safety and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Salary: $30-$38/hr. based on experience and skill set. $1,500 sign on bonus
