Uptown Animal Hospital, part of Lakefield Veterinary Group, is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our General Practice and Urgent Care Hybrid in Gig Harbor, WA. We operate a full-service hospital with in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, ultrasonography, an on-site pharmacy and a state-of-the-art surgical suite.

Qualifications

• LVT/CVT certification is required.
• Two to three years of veterinary hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with Avimark Software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients verbally and in writing.
• Educate clients both verbally and in writing.
• Provide professional customer service via phone, email, and in person.
• Perform drug calculations and administration.
• Assist in anesthesia and surgery.
• Place IV catheters.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab work.
• Maintain medical records and invoicing.
• Oversee hospitalized patients and communicate status updates to doctors.
• Shift includes weekends and holidays.
