Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists in San Antonio, TX seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. You will support radiography, CT, and ultrasound procedures, collaborating with veterinarians and specialists to ensure accurate imaging and safe patient care.

You will assist with positioning, sedation support, PPE, and meticulous record-keeping while maintaining a high standard of patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced specialty hospital.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary technician experience, preferably in diagnostic imaging.
• Active Licensed Veterinary Technician credentials required.
• Experience with radiographic positioning, sedation/anesthesia support, and safe imaging workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic imaging procedures (X-ray, CT, ultrasound).
• Prepare, position, and restrain patients for imaging; support sedation/anesthesia as directed.
• Monitor patients during imaging to ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain imaging records and proper labeling in PACS systems.
• Communicate with clients, referrers, and internal teams regarding estimates and updates.
• Follow safety protocols, PPE use, and radiation safety guidelines.
