THT Licensed Clinical Psychologist/Supervisor Job Description (kids/teens and family focus)
(In Person - Cupertino/San Franscisco office location)
Are you a seasoned psychologist passionate about helping kids, teens, and families heal from trauma—without the burnout of insurance billing or endless admin tasks? Do you feel called to mentor and supervise the next generation of clinicians while growing alongside a warm, mission-driven team?
At Trauma Healing Therapy (THT), we’re a boutique, private-pay startup offering a great hourly pay, paid admin support, zero insurance headaches, and space for highly competent, motivated psychologists to do deeply meaningful clinical and supervisory work.
THT is now looking for a full time wonderful Licensed Psychologist/Supervisor (kids/teen/family focus) to join our growing group therapy practice in Cupertino!
At THT, we have the mission to help clients and the community heal from trauma and relationship wounds using two simple ingredients: evidenced-based clinical techniques AND an empathic, warm, humanistic approach to psychotherapy.
Position Overview:
The licensed clinical psychologist will provide psychotherapy services to clients of Trauma Healing Therapy (THT). Clinical therapy services will include treatment of kids and teens/families at this time. We are currently looking for a full-time licensed clinical psychologist (PhD, PsyD) in the State of California who is ready to be a part of a dynamic, kind, growing, and collaborative team. This position is in person (Cupertino, possibly expanding to San Francisco 1-2 days a week).
About THT:
At THT, it is our mission to help clients and the community heal from trauma and relationship wounds using two simple ingredients: evidence-based clinical techniques AND an empathic, warm, humanistic approach to psychotherapy.
THT firmly believes in the following values:
INNATE POTENTIAL: Each client has the innate potential to heal and achieve “post-traumatic growth.”
THE CLIENT IS THE EXPERT: Each client is their best expert. Therapists DO NOT know them better but are there to support them during their journey, at their own pace, as a warm, empathic presence.
EMPATHY IS KEY IN THERAPY: The most important skill a therapist can have is not solely from fancy training (which is needed for trauma work!) but the capacity to connect with the client, human to human, in an unconditionally caring way.
TRAUMA NEEDS TREATMENT: Symptoms often stem from past traumas. By treating the underlying trauma, clients’ symptoms will diminish.
TRANSITION FROM SURVIVING TO LIVING LIVES: It’s our job, with permission, to guide clients in their journey from “surviving” to “living” using evidence-based trauma-healing techniques (e.g., EMDR/Flash, EFT).
CLINICAL EXCELLENCE & GROWTH: We value continued clinical growth and foster it through consultation and staff meetings.
GIVING BACK: We value giving back to the community through free educational events and workshops on trauma-related topics.
DIVERSITY & INCLUSION: We strive for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and aim to maintain a supportive, inclusive, and diverse team.
