Provide quality clinical treatment to clients as assigned by the Intake Coordinator and/or the Department Director. Responsibilities include providing individual, group, and family therapy to clients of varied ages and stages in recovery, completing all documentation and paperwork specific to each department and in compliance with hospital requirements, DMH, BSAS, The Joint Commission, and Insurance Providers. Responsible for managing caseload through consultations, collateral contact, and following up with the client on missed appointments. Maintain productivity benchmarks and current level of professional licensure, as well as maintain CAQH credentialing.

Harrington’s Continuum of Care: Harrington's Behavioral Health Program is a comprehensive continuum of behavioral health services including programs specializing in adult mental health, addiction and recovery services, school-based services, child and adolescent services, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient services (IOP), medication management, psychiatric emergency services, and inpatient psychiatry including a co-occurring disorders unit (CDU).
About Addiction and Recovery Services at Harrington:
General Description: Provide quality dual diagnosis treatment to patients entering into outpatient Recovery Services. Responsibilities include providing individual & group therapy to adults with varied substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Responsibilities also include completing initial assessments, counseling, group therapy, case presentations to the treatment team, treatment planning, and aftercare planning. Must be able to work as part of a robust clinical team consisting of licensed and unlicensed therapists, prescribers (MDs and NPs), and clinical support staff. Strong clinical skills such as diagnostic ability, communication skills, and organizational/time management skills are imperative. Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatments (MAT), such as Suboxone, methadone, and Vivitrol, as well as an understanding of the harm reduction model of addiction treatment is preferred.
Work Experience Requirements: 2 years of experience working with adults and families with a variety of substance use and mental health disorders in a clinical setting.
Education Requirements: Graduation and training from an accredited graduate program (MA/MSW). Current/active unrestricted professional license for the state of Massachusetts (LICSW) required.
