Daybreak Health is hiring licensed mental health clinicians to deliver teletherapy to students in California as 1099 independent contractors. The role offers a tiered per-session pay of $75–$95, with benefits including paid onboarding, bilingual session differentials, continuing education credits, malpractice insurance, and biweekly pay.
Know that the position is fully remote from anywhere in the U.S. with a flexible schedule, typically Mon–Fri 3–8 PM or similar, and a focus on youth aged 11–24.
Join our mission to make quality mental healthcare accessible to every student who needs it. At Daybreak Health, you'll be part of a movement dedicated to removing barriers to care and empowering young people to thrive emotionally and mentally. We partner with over 60 school districts—including Kaiser Permanente—reaching more than one million students nationwide. Our clinicians enjoy the stability of consistent referrals and a meaningful caseload, allowing you to focus on what matters most: making a real difference in students' lives. We're seeking compassionate, licensed mental health clinicians to provide teletherapy to students ages 11-24 throughout California. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care while working alongside schools, families, and community partners to help students thrive. Every session you lead has the power to change a young person's trajectory—and that's just the beginning of the impact you'll make.
Please note: This role is open to therapists who are fully licensed in California only; associate and provisionally licensed therapists are not eligible.
Our new tiered pay structure rewards clinicians who want to grow their caseload, with no cap on your earnings:
The more clients you see, the more you earn. A clinician seeing 20+ sessions per week can build a meaningful income stream without the administrative burden of running a private practice.
Please note: This role is open to fully licensed California clinicians only; associate and provisionally licensed clinicians are not eligible.
Daybreak Health is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We believe that diverse perspectives strengthen our mission to serve students from all backgrounds. We actively encourage applications from people of all races, ethnicities, religions, gender identities, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, and veteran status.
