Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking an Inpatient Licensed Therapist in Willoughby, Ohio. This role includes providing direct patient care, conducting psychosocial assessments, formulating treatment plans, and leading psychotherapy groups. Required qualifications include an MSW or Master’s degree in Counseling along with a valid Ohio license (LSW, LISW, LPC or LPCC). Job description

Responsibilities
  • Inpatient Licensed Therapist: provide direct patient care including completion of psychosocial assessments, formulation of treatment plans, provision of psychotherapy groups, crisis safety plans, and discharge planning.
  • Interface with referral sources, community service agencies, businesses, employers, and healthcare facilities, and maintain communication with patients’ families and support systems.
  • Participate in crisis intervention situations where verbal de-escalation techniques and safety planning are required.
  • Ensure compliance for quality patient care and adherence to Joint Commission standards, State Health Department requirements, and all other regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Education/Licensure: MSW or Master’s degree in Counseling from an accredited college or university. Candidate must possess a LSW, LISW, LPC or LPCC issued by the State of Ohio to qualify for the position. Two years previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility with direct experience with group therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning required.
