Company Description

Mountain Valley Treatment Center is a residential treatment center dedicated to adolescents and young adults aged 13-20 suffering from extreme Anxiety Disorders, OCD, and OC Spectrum Disorders. Located in the scenic Upper Valley region of New Hampshire, MVTC offers compassionate, evidence-based, and holistic care. Residents learn skills and coping tools through CBT, ACT-oriented Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Additionally, Mountain Valley provides activity therapy sessions and individualized academic instruction to support skill-building.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Licensed Therapist based in Plainfield, NH. The Therapist will conduct individual and group therapy sessions, develop and implement treatment plans, and utilize evidence-based methods such as CBT and ACT-oriented Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy. The role also involves facilitating activity therapy sessions, collaborating with academic staff, and supporting residents' daily activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
• Ability to conduct therapy sessions and develop treatment plans.
• Knowledge of Yoga, Meditation, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Adventure Therapy is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including communication and empathy, and ability to work collaboratively with residents and staff.
• Valid licensure as a therapist (LPC, LMHC, LCSW, or equivalent) and experience working with adolescents and young adults.
• Experience in residential treatment settings is desirable.
