Job summary

Centerstone in Clarksville, TN is seeking a Licensed Therapist to join a compassionate outpatient team. You will provide individual therapy, develop DSM-based diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans to support clients in a structured clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.
• Active licensure required: LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or LMFT.
• Clinical experience required (may include graduate practicum or internship).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual outpatient therapy using evidence-based approaches such as CBT and other clinical modalities.
• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and formulate accurate DSM-based diagnoses.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to support client progress and outcomes.
• Build strong therapeutic relationships while delivering high-quality, client-centered care.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
• Respond promptly to client needs, including urgent situations, in both in-person and virtual settings.
• Collaborate with supervisors and interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective care coordination.
• Communicate proactively regarding clinical concerns that may impact clients or program operations.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and ethical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Clinical Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
• OR Master’s degree in a related field with:
  • At least 24 graduate-level semester hours in behavioral health-related coursework
  • Coursework and experience in clinical treatment, assessment, psychopathology, and DSM diagnosis
• Active licensure required: LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or LMFT
• Clinical experience required (may include graduate-level practicum or internship experience)
• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred

• Ability to utilize EHR systems and clinical documentation tools effectively
• Excellent communication skills across written, verbal, and virtual formats
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating within a team environment
