Job description

Licensed Telehealth Therapist / Mental Health Counselor (Pennsylvania)

Remote

Prosper Health is on a mission to make life happier and healthier for autistic and neurodivergent adults.

Autistic adults have been systematically overlooked by the healthcare system—despite autism diagnoses increasing more than 5x in the past 25 years. This has led to extremely poor outcomes: autistic adults are 11x more likely than the average person to experience suicidal ideation and face a life expectancy 30 years shorter than average.

Prosper offers virtual mental health services—covered by insurance and built specifically for autistic adults. We help thousands of people get diagnosed for the first time in their lives, pair them with neurodivergent-affirming therapists, and foster belonging through community. In just 2 years, we have grown to double digit millions of run-rate revenue, thousands of active clients, and 200+ clinicians. We have a lean, ambitious team, and recently raised a Series A to help us transform mental health for autistic and neurodivergent adults.

The Opportunity

We're hiring Licensed Mental Health Therapists (LCSW, LPC, LMHC) to provide therapy for autistic and neurodivergent adults via telehealth. You'll join a team dedicated to creating affirming, accessible mental health services for the neurodivergent community.

Our clinicians come from diverse backgrounds and career stages - whether you're passionate about neurodiversity advocacy, seeking flexibility and better work-life balance, or looking to add specialized experience to your existing practice, we offer roles to match your professional goals.

Why Therapists Choose Prosper:
  • Focus on what matters most: Provide exceptional client care while we manage administrative tasks, insurance billing, and client acquisition
  • Enjoy scheduling flexibility: Design your work schedule to accommodate personal needs and maintain optimal work-life balance
  • Scale your practice quickly: Build your caseload with steady client referrals during your first few weeks, with most clinicians reaching their ideal caseload within 4-6 weeks
  • No-show and late cancellation reimbursement: Receive 50% reimbursement for late cancellations and no-shows
  • Grow professionally: Access regular peer consultation, specialized training, and monthly case conferences
  • Neurodiversity-affirming environment: Work alongside clinicians who share your commitment to neurodiversity-affirming approaches
  • Connect with a supportive clinical community: Join weekly drop-ins and engage in a tight-knit clinical community that prevent isolation
We offer two distinct position types to accommodate different career needs and scheduling preferences
Scheduling Availability
  • Set your own schedule, 7 days a week, between 7am and 10pm
  • No required evening, weekend or on-call hours
  • Build your schedule around your life, not the other way around
Full time (Benefits-Eligible)
  • Hours: Provide 25+ hours of weekly availability to build a caseload of 25+ clients
  • Ideal for: Those who seek steady, predictable income that grows with your client base
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate paid per session
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, 401(k) retirement plan and PTO.
Part-Time Position
  • Hours: Provide 15+ hours of weekly availability to build a caseload of 15+ clients
  • Ideal For: Practitioners with existing commitments who want to diversify their practice or add specialized neurodiversity experience to your clinical portfolio
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate paid per session
Who We're Looking For:
Qualifications:
  • Licensed independent mental health professional (LCSW, LPC, LMHC)
  • Strong clinical skills in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT or ACT
  • Interest in working with autistic or neurodivergent adults
  • Comfort with technology and virtual care platforms (Zoom, EHR, Slack)
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to client-centered care
  • Telehealth experience preferred but not required
You'll Thrive Here If:
  • You identify with our mission to support the neurodivergent community
  • You're seeking better work-life balance without sacrificing meaningful clinical work
  • You're transitioning from a demanding in-person setting and want more flexibility
  • You want to maintain multiple practice settings and add specialized experience
  • You're passionate about providing affirming care to traditionally underserved populations
Compensation:

Our transparent model means your income grows with your client relationships. Unlike traditional salary models, our fee-for-service approach rewards you directly for the sessions you provide. The more sessions you complete, the more your practice thrives – with the security of guaranteed income during no-shows and cancellations. We pay between $X - $X per session.

Our team: We are a team of thoughtful, caring, action-oriented problem-solvers—paired with true experts in the field, including clinicians and autistic self-advocates. Our operations team is based in New York and spread across the U.S., with talent from Bain, McKinsey, BCG, FirstHand Health, SeatGeek, Benchling, and schools like Harvard, MIT, Yale, Penn, Northwestern, Dartmouth, Vanderbilt, and more.

Our culture:

  • Clients first - decisions start by asking what is best for our clients; we stay extremely close to our community and self-advocates so we know how to best support autistic adults
  • Honesty and transparency - startups fail when they lose touch with reality. We speak the truth—to ourselves and each other—because the mission depends on it.
  • Play to win - the problems we’re solving are hard. We’re here for the challenge—and we want teammates who are hungry to win.
  • Growth mindset - we won’t get everything right the first time. We learn fast, iterate, seek feedback, and keep getting better.
  • Bias for action - velocity matters. We move quickly, make decisions, and focus on what drives impact.
  • Enjoy the journey - we’re building something meaningful, but we’re here to enjoy ourselves while doing it. We laugh, support each other, and make the day-to-day fun.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp .
