Job summary

CPH is a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Architecture firm seeking a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in Miami, FL. You will deliver high-quality survey services, ensure safety, foster client relationships and guide projects from inception to completion.

Candidates must be Florida-licensed, have strong communication and project management skills, with MicroStation/GEOPAK/Civil 3D experience. This full-time role reports to the department lead and offers a collaborative team, competitive

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) or (PLS) in Florida; Georgia license is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Successful history of project management with site development and surveys.
• Experience with MicroStation and GEOPAK including Civil 3D or equivalent transportation surveying project management experience and familiarity with DOT Location & Surveys processes and standards.
• Subsurface Utility Engineering experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.

Responsibilities

• Foster and grow client relationships; develop and monitor project scope, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control for survey projects from the proposal stage through final deliverables.
• Provide oversight of survey activities to ensure assignments meet performance goals.
• Effectively coordinate and communicate with other project team members and provide detailed instructions to survey support personnel.
• Keeping up with current technology and changes to the programs being used.
• Performing calculations for field crews and mapping as needed.
• Compiling and researching projects as needed prior to starting work.
• Analyzing deeds and research materials for the production of the survey.
• Assuring that all projects stay on schedule and within budget, and discussing any issues/discrepancies with Supervisor if needed.
• Managing office personnel assigned to your projects.
• Coordinating with the field crew supervisor your project needs and working with field staff to assure the desired product from the field.
• Prioritizing projects and their schedules for yourself and staff.
• Coordinating QA/QC scheduling.
• Monitoring each project to ensure that client is satisfied with service and product and that all aspects of the scope have been performed fully and correctly.
• Reviewing timesheets of assigned staff on a daily basis for your assigned projects.
• Coordinating and assisting with project estimates as requested.
