Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in North Chesterfield, VA is hiring counselors and therapists for our inpatient Detox and Residential treatment facility. You will create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and conduct individual, group, family and couples therapy to support client recovery.

Requires a Master's degree and Virginia licensure; strong communication, ethics and confidentiality are essential. We offer generous PTO, comprehensive benefits and industry-leading training.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling or related field.
• Virginia licensure/certification to practice in this role (CSAC, Social Work Supervisee, Resident in Counseling, LCSW, LPC, LSATP).
• Excellent observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for each client.
• Conduct individual, group, family and couples therapy sessions.
• Manage clinical needs, services, and aftercare for your caseload.
• Prevent, intervene and de-escalate in crisis situations.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress, challenges and relapse risk.
• Collaborate with Clinical Director and treatment team for coordinated care.
• Model ethics, recovery principles, honesty and respect in all interactions.
