Job summary

HUNT seeks a licensed Structural Engineer to lead building design across NY and PA. Join a multidisciplinary team, mentor engineers, and deliver innovative structural solutions for schools, healthcare, municipal, and commercial projects.

You will collaborate with architects, civil and MEP engineers, evaluate existing facilities, and apply the IBC, NYS Building Code, and other codes to diverse structures.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Five or more years of structural engineering experience focused on building design.
• Experience designing structural systems using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Strong understanding of applicable building codes and structural design standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood buildings.
• Lead structural analysis and prepare construction documents for a wide variety of building projects.
• Perform structural assessments and evaluations of existing facilities.
• Apply industry standards and design codes, including IBC, NYS Building Code, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and NDS.
• Utilize structural analysis and design software including RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, Enercalc, and Revit.
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, MEP engineers, surveyors, and other professionals to deliver coordinated solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
