Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) seeks a Staff Surveyor to lead field crews on large-scale land surveying projects. You will supervise technicians, coordinate with Project Surveyors, sign and seal plats, and mentor field staff to meet state surveying requirements and QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to efficiently execute professional land survey tasks.
• Experience in project/phase management for large-scale survey projects.
• Strong technical skill set including AutoCAD and MS Office.
• License as Professional Land Surveyor or ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
• Transportation experience preferred.

• Coordinate with Project Surveyors and project teams to execute land surveying projects according to scope and schedule.
• Supervise technicians and field crews completing large-scale surveying projects.
• Serve as a client point of contact and sign and seal plats, drawings, and other survey documents.

• Perform additional duties to support SAM’s strategic goals.

The Staff Surveyor is responsible for overseeing technicians and field crews in the completion of large-scale land surveying projects. This role collaborates with Project Surveyors and other teams to execute project scope, schedule, and deliverables established by the Survey Project Manager.
