Job summary

SAM is seeking a Staff Surveyor to supervise field crews and technicians on large-scale land surveying projects. You will coordinate with other surveyors and teams to meet project scopes and schedules, while serving as client contact and signing/sealing plats and drawings.

You will also mentor teams on state survey requirements and QA/QC, contributing to SAM’s strategic goals and delivering accurate, actionable geospatial data for projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Professional Land Surveyor license is required or must be obtained within 6 months.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise technicians and field crews.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office.

• Supervise technicians and field crews to complete large-scale land surveying projects.
• Serve as the client contact for SAM and signing and sealing plats and drawings.

Your Impact at SAM

The Staff Surveyor is responsible for supervising a team of technicians and field crews to complete large-scale land surveying projects in accordance with the project schedule. This role will coordinate with other Project Surveyors and teams to execute project scope and schedule as established by the Project Manager.

• Demonstrated ability to efficiently execute professional land survey tasks
• Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale survey projects
• Strong technical skill set, including AutoCAD and MS Office
