Job summary

Holland Village is seeking a Speech Therapist to provide rehabilitation services and to organize and conduct therapy programs for our patients. The role focuses on assessing speech and language needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and teaching patients voice production and swallowing techniques.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program.
• Current PA State Speech Therapy License.
• Experience in Assisted Living settings preferred.
• Proven exceptional customer service and patient care experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Minimum of one-year experience in an acute care facility, outpatient setting, community health service or Home Health agency in the past two years as a Speech Therapist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty
• Determine the extent of communication problems by having a patient complete basic reading and vocalizing tasks or by giving standardized tests
• Identify, create, and carry out an individualized treatment plan
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Work with patients to develop and strengthen the muscles used to swallow
