Compensation: Up to $63,000/year
Location: Brooklyn, NY OR Queens, NY
Schedule: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) or Evening Shift (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM)

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Licensed Social Work Supervisor in Brooklyn, NY or Queens, NY for our client, supporting street outreach, crisis intervention, and housing placement services for individuals experiencing homelessness. This leadership role supervises a multidisciplinary outreach team while providing direct field support, clinical guidance, and community engagement to connect clients with housing and supportive services. The ideal candidate is a licensed social worker with strong leadership skills and experience working with vulnerable populations in community-based settings.

Responsibilities as the Licensed Social Work Supervisor:

• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support outreach staff through regular coaching, performance management, and structured supervision.
• Community Outreach: Lead street outreach efforts, engage individuals experiencing homelessness, assess client needs, and facilitate connections to housing and supportive services.
• Crisis Intervention: Provide clinical leadership during emergency situations, conduct risk assessments, support crisis de-escalation, and coordinate emergency interventions when appropriate.
• Case Management Support: Promote best practices in Housing First, Harm Reduction, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care while ensuring quality service delivery.
• Community Collaboration: Build relationships with healthcare providers, emergency responders, community organizations, and government agencies to coordinate client care and outreach initiatives.
• Program Operations: Monitor documentation, oversee data quality, participate in on-call coverage, and support compliance with organizational policies and program standards.

Qualifications for the Licensed Social Work Supervisor:

• Education: Master's degree in Social Work or a related field is required.
• Licensure: Active New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license is required.
• Experience:1+ Years of supervisory experience in social services, outreach, behavioral health, homelessness services, or a related field is preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Housing First, Harm Reduction, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and case management practices is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required, and experience with case management databases or similar systems is preferred.
• Skills & Attributes: Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and crisis management skills with the ability to work effectively in the field, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, and respond to emergency situations. A valid NY, NJ, CT, or PA driver's license is required, and bilingual English and Spanish is preferred.
