Position: Speech Language Pathologist-Assistant for Adult IDD clients in Texas - Teletherapy

Location: Houston, TX, United States

Requirements:
  • Texas-issued Speech Language Pathologist-Assistant License
  • Ability to learn on the job and effectively utilize provided materials
A day in the life of our therapists includes:
  • Documenting therapy visits and communicating with families and case managers
  • Using and enhancing provided resources during therapy sessions
  • Collaborating with clients, families, and case managers to deliver high-quality, tailored therapy
About the role:

We are seeking passionate and dedicated SLP-Assistants committed to serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Texas via teletherapy. As the leading adult IDD therapy provider in Texas, Soundly Speaking works closely with dayhab staff and families to support clients aged 21 and up.

Our services include both in-person and teletherapy. Based on an hourly wage, our SLP-Assistants are expected to:

  • Treat a variety of speech and language disorders
  • Develop detailed therapy plans to meet short and long-term goals
  • Adapt to different circumstances and coordinate with supervisors and case managers
  • Submit paperwork within 24 hours
  • Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA, state, and federal regulations
  • Communicate progress to families and case managers
