American Cruise Lines is seeking a Licensed Engineer to manage the technical operation, maintenance, and safe performance of ship systems on our fleet. You will supervise propulsion, electrical, and auxiliary equipment, while coordinating with Hotel Officers for guest service excellence.

Requirements include MMC, TWIC, and experience with diesel, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Expect 12-hour days, travel, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a full-time role on board.

Qualifications

• MMC credential required.
• Experience with diesel machinery, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of shipboard machinery and auxiliary systems.
• TWIC card required.
• Pre-employment drug testing and ongoing random testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot shipboard machinery including propulsion, auxiliary and electrical systems.
• Provide 24-hour response for technical issues and emergencies.
• Support docking, logistics and operational maintenance as needed.
• Implement maintenance schedules to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.
• Document maintenance, repairs, and inventory; manage spare parts and liquid transfers.
• Oversee contractor repairs on machinery and systems; collaborate with Hotel Officers and Service Crew to support five-star guest service.
