Job summary

Fort Bend ISD is seeking a Licensed Specialist School Psychologist (LSSP) for the 2026-2027 school year in Sugar Land, TX. The LSSP will conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine disabilities and educational needs, and will develop and monitor support services for students in special education.

The position requires collaboration with ARD/IEP teams, compliance with federal/state timelines, and delivery of counseling and behavioral interventions within IEP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or will have degree conferred within 6 months of application.
• Licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists as an LSSP or LSSP Trainee; license within 6 months of application.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing psychological services in a school district.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide services aligned with IEP counseling/behavior goals.
• Provide counseling or direct/indirect psychological services for students with IEPs.
• Utilize assessment data to plan individualized programs and services.
• Develop FBAs, Counseling, Behavior and Social Skills IEPs, IEPs, and BIPs.
• Monitor IEP/ARD implementation and support service recommendations.
• Deliver short-term crisis counseling and behavior consultation.
• Facilitate ARD/IEP meetings using district software.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and outside agencies to provide services.
