Job summary

Atlantic Group is hiring Licensed School Counselors (LCSW/LMHC) in New York, NY to support students in school-based counseling and mental health settings for the current school year. Flexible placement options across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island based on preference.

You will provide individual and group counseling, support IEP-aligned goals, and help students build social, emotional, and behavioral skills needed to succeed in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field is required.
• Active New York State LCSW or LMHC licensure is required.
• New York State School Counselor certification is preferred.
• Experience in school-based counseling or mental health support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students with social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
• Support students with coping skills, emotional regulation, peer relationships, and classroom readiness.
• Collaborate with school teams, providers, and families to support IEP goals and intervention plans.
• Maintain counseling notes and progress documentation per school requirements.
