Job summary

Sport Clips Haircuts of Wayne is seeking a Salon Manager to lead a high-performing men’s and boys’ hair salon. The role suits a licensed cosmetologist or barber who enjoys hair cutting, coaching teams, and managing salon operations for a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

Salary ranges from $35 to $45 per hour, including tips and performance bonuses. A Manager-in-Training program is available for licensed stylists not yet ready to manage a salon.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey cosmetology or barber license.
• Management or supervisory experience in salon/spa/retail/store environments.
• Ability to lead, coach and motivate a team while delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily salon operations including scheduling, inventory, and POS to ensure a legendary client experience.
• Hire, coach, and onboard stylists and foster teamwork and accountability.
• Oversee product ordering, inventory, and merchandising to support profitability and brand standards.
• Set service standards by providing hands-on haircuts and managing customer concerns while maintaining a clean, professional environment.
• Support payroll and administrative tasks while ensuring licensing, safety, and company policies are followed.

Sport Clips Haircuts of Wayne is hiring a Salon Manager to lead a high-performing men’s and boys’ hair salon. This role is ideal for a licensed cosmetologist or barber who enjoys hair cutting, coaching teams, managing salon operations, and delivering a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

Managers typically earn $35-$45 per hour, including hourly pay, tips, and performance bonuses.

Salon Manager requirements

• Active NEW JERSEY (NJ) cosmetology license or barber license
• Management experience preferred, including salon, spa, retail, or store management
• Love for providing exceptional haircuts to clients
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced salon environment
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
