Job summary

Broughton Hospital, part of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, seeks a Licensed Recreational Therapist to join our Recreational Therapy team. The LRT will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapy services, conduct comprehensive assessments, set individualized goals, and provide group and one-on-one interventions to patients.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice recreational therapy by the North Carolina Board of Recreational Therapy Licensure.
• Knowledge of the APIE process is preferred.
• Degree from a CAAHEP-accredited program (CARTE) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate recreational therapy services.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and identify individualized goals.
• Provide group and one-on-one recreational interventions.
• Document patient responses, progress, and behavioral observations to contribute to treatment planning.
