Melbourne Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Melbourne, FL is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a PRN basis. The PTA will support licensed therapists in delivering focused therapy sessions to residents and help maintain a safe, compassionate care environment.

You will collaborate with the therapy team to implement individualized plans, adhere to infection control protocols, and ensure equipment and PPE readiness.

Formación

• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Florida.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a nursing home or rehabilitation setting.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering safe, effective, and individualized therapy sessions.
• Follow departmental policies, including professional dress code and maintaining a positive, respectful attitude.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure resident safety.
• Keep therapy areas organized and ensure equipment is clean, functional, and readily available.
• Report hazardous conditions or equipment issues promptly to your supervisor.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for tasks involving potential exposure to bodily fluids.
• Notify your supervisor immediately regarding missing or unclear labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
