Job summary

HealthMark Rehabilitation seeks a full-time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled therapy to residents and short-term patients at Park Manor Tomball in Tomball, Texas. The PTA will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and follow physician orders within established plans of care.

The role requires Texas PTA licensure, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced rehab setting with seniors.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas license/certification for PTA.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Organizational and analytical skills required.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
• Demonstrates time management and organization.
• Demonstrated clinical judgment, problem-solving and decision making skills.
• Meet physical requirements to deliver responsibilities.
• Experience in a geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy services in accordance with physician’s orders and accepted professional practices.
• Develops an overall plan of care including treatment and goals.
• Performs skilled treatments according to care plan.
• Documents observations and patient progress within required timeframes.
• Completes all documentation timely and in line with regulations.
• Handles billing for skilled services on the date of provision.
• Maintains rehab gym equipment and treatment area with infection prevention practices.
