Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current tuberculosis screening or ability to meet applicable health-screening requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient-service skills.
• Ability to follow established plans of care and clinical instructions.
• Strong documentation, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while remaining closely coordinated with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Commitment to compassionate, ethical, and evidence-based patient care.
• Ability to manage an appropriate caseload in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard workplace technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments according to the patient's established plan of care.
• Carry out therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance activities.
• Observe and document patient responses to treatment.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and home programs.
• Complete treatment notes and clinical documentation on time.
• Maintain professional communication with the care team.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is clean and safe.
• Participate in meetings, education, and quality-improvement activities.
