Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in assisting with therapeutic exercises and treatment modalities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with solid documentation and reporting skills.
• Prior PTA clinical experience preferred; familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist.
• Communicate regularly with the PT regarding patient progress.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Monitor and record patient progress and responses to treatments.
• Assist with administering interventions such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Set up and maintain therapy equipment and assist during evaluations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families about exercises, home care and safety.
• Collaborate with PTs and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
